Southern Ethiopia: Tragedies and Small Miracles

Confronted by rapidly escalating numbers of severely malnourished patients in southern Ethiopia, MSF has set up 51 ambulatory nutrition centers and five hospitalization centers. More than 20,000 patients with severe acute malnutrition have been admitted to the program.

Georgia: MSF Assists Displaced People in Tbilisi

In Tbilisi, MSF emergency teams are providing medical aid to those who have fled the fighting. Staff are now seeing patients with chronic illnesses who need to keep up their treatments and those who have been psychologically affected by the fighting.

Thailand Returns Hundreds of Hmong Refugees to Laos

An estimated 800 ethnic Lao Hmong refugees were forcibly returned to Laos by the Thai government on June 22. MSF calls for immediate halt to forced repatriations and access to returnees.
